Easy Fig Cake Recipe

If you find yourself with an extra cup of fig preserves on hand, try this Easy Fig Cake Recipe.

Ingredients
Fig Cake
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup cooking oil
  • 1 cup sour milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup figs
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • ½ tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. combine all ingredients and mix well
  2. pour in a 15 inch by 10 inch pan
  3. bake at 300 - 325 F. for 1 hour

Sour milk can be made by adding 1 Tbs. of vinegar to the milk.
